Background： · This project is to balance Weight Engineering job manpower for VEME other key attributes development works. Objective： · Provide Weight Engineering service for program deliverables. Work scope/deliverables: · Weight projection - Development of weight projection methodology utilizing parametric and analytical methods in order to provide weight estimation of a vehicle during the pre-program start to mass production design phase. · Weight control - Organization, promotion, and management of weight reduction efforts in order to insure minimum weight designs within program constraints. · Weight tracking - Creation and maintenance of mass properties database including weight, center of gravity, and moment of inertia data. · Mass modeling - Determination of mass distributions and inertia characteristics that are inputs to structural and dynamic analyses as well as NVH and safety. · Verification of mass model - Vehicle weighing & part weight auditing. · Preparation of internal and customer status reports - Preparation of data for input to Program, Certification Engineering, and Federal Labeling Requirements as well as inquiries from NHTSA and EPA. Project content target: · Assist China REC VEME team to deliver attributes on time for China go fast programs. Program Timing: · REC VEME team will provide the China go fast programs timing as needed.
