Main Purpose and Job Scope This job contributes to Starbucks success by leading the selection and lease negotiations for future retail sites in order to achieve a superior real estate position for Starbucks stores. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles. Key Accountabilities Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: ? Independently manages all aspects of market development. Participate in strategic planning. Updates target lists, maps and target books. Conducts title searches. Analyze site surveys and leases. Tours regions with visits to competitors and existing sites. Prepare letters of intent, confirmation letters, site survey requests, pro forma and site submittals. Coordinates design and construction issues with internal partners and landlords. Resolves legal and lease issues. ? Research new and existing submarkets through broker networks, new market surveys and visits. Meet with landlords and city representatives. Responds to unsolicited site submittals. ? Track performance goals and budget. Prepare management and pipeline reports and business plans. Compiles integrated market strategy report, post-analysis report and other special project reporting.
