1 Position:Store Planning Manager 2 Dept.: Business Development Team 3 Location: Shanghai 4 Line manager:BD Manager 5 Position Objective: 5.1 The administration and delivery of store construction projects within established design guidelines and approved capital expenditure limits. 5.2 Requires a strong sense of initiative and urgency together with the ability to manage geographically disperse projects. 5.3 Focus on improved performance through effective communication and strong management, using measurable objectives. 5.4 Reports to the Operations Manager-China, with a functional report to the Store Planning Manager-Asia and a close working relationship with the Business Development team. 6 Key Activities: 6.1 Plan, supervise and deliver new store construction projects, existing store refurbishment projects and large store maintenance projects; 6.2 Develop local store design and construction guidelines in compliance with LS regional/global design and construction guidelines for existing and new retail concepts 6.3 Contribute to the enhancement of regional/global design and construction guidelines for existing retail concepts 6.4 Contribute to the development of regional/global design and construction guidelines for new retail concepts 6.5 Conduct supplier selection process in compliance with company practices and policies 6.6 Supervise the development of new fixtures and the enhancement of existing fixtures based on operational needs and other country best-practices 6.7 Become fully knowledgeable of store planning processes and contribute to the development of those processes 6.8 Understanding of tenancy guidelines to ensure operational & store design excellence and cost effectiveness. 6.9 Develop, implement and follow-up project plans, budgets and schedules to ensure timely delivery of projects within pre-determined capital expenditure limits 6.10 Communicate with landlords, fire bureau and other authorities to obtain necessary construction permits and ensure the delivery of projects in accordance with design and construction guidelines 6.11 Supervise contractor sourcing of building materials to ensure cost-efficiency of new store and existing store refurbishment projects 6.12 Supervise contractors and external construction staff to ensure the delivery of projects in accordance with LS design and construction guidelines 6.13 Follow-up of defect rectifications after hand-over of new stores 6.14 Implement global guidelines and best-practices forgreen'construction 6.15 Work with the Operations team to ensure smooth handover and opening of new stores 6.16 Identify and recommend process improvements enhance efficiency and generate savings 6.17 Develop and maintain Procedure Manuals pertaining to store planning work 6.18 Implement Store Audit program in China 6.19 Prepare reports, presentations and analysis for China and Aspac Management teams as required 6.20 Any other duties as required or directed. 7 Qualifications, Experience and Skills: 7.1 Similar experience in a foreign or leading domestic chain-store retail company 7.2 Minimum 3 years experience in construction management 7.3 Experience in the preparation of written procedures 7.4 MS Excel proficiency required, other relevant software experience a plus 7.5 English language skills essential 7.6 Flexible and willingness to travel 7.7 Commercially focused and analytical
