The Job: Project Merchandiser

- Manage for all the products in the scope of responsibility the whole process between technical specifications reception from the client to products delivery, such as sampling, quotation, procurement, in-production quality control, packing, shipment and so on
- Guarantee the conformity of the goods developed with the client’s needs (quality level expected, material requirements, samples checking, technical solutions proposed)
- Coordinate the work with the other departments (Sales team in US and France, Production, Quality, Logistic, Purchasing, Subcontracted suppliers).
- Follow up the production steps of the collections (conformity of material received, production schedule to meet client’s delivery date, in-line quality control, FG quality control in site and at subcontracted partners)
- Guarantee the profitability of the products in charge by placing orders at the right price and the right quantity to supplier or subcontractor. Follow up the consumption of each product with the warehouse and the production team.
- For the products in charge, anticipate the different problems before the production during the development steps, bring a culture of continuous improvement to the team in order to set new standards to avoid same problems to happen again.
- Guarantee the communication with the clients (US) for the main steps of development and production and support the client QC on-site audits.
Requirements:
- Experience as a merchandiser or QC for middle and high range fashion jewelry products (metal + plating techniques, assembling technical). A knowledge of US or European clients would be a plus.
- A first experience as a team management would be a plus.
- Strong analysis ability, quality problem solving and initiative attitude are a must.
- Good English both written and oral to guarantee efficient daily communication with US clients.
